Each bug/wish/task ticket has a free-form Keywords box. These are used to create custom queries. When the Component list does not well describe the ticket, it is suggested to add a keyword or two that does. For example:

• v.in.ascii - or other module name
• wingrass
• gis.m

Also, the keywords can be used to describe bug status, e.g. needinfo, helpwanted, patch. See the main Trac software wiki for ​a list that they find useful.
