GRASS 7 Release Planning

• Release scope: complete demolition and reconstruction (new display architecture, new raster library, new ...).
• The SVN trunk corresponds to GRASS 7 (for access, see here)
• ​http://grass.osgeo.org/wiki/GRASS_7_ideas_collection (to be merged into trac)

Already implemented

• New features in GRASS7 (already implemented)
• G3d (volume) library and modules in GRASS 7 (finished)

Planning & ongoing

7.0.0RC1 (planned for 29 Dec 2014 initial Jan 2015)

• #2409 - last call for options/flags/parameters consolidation
• Solve whatever possible from ​http://trac.osgeo.org/grass/report/19
• Update Release/7.0.0RC1-News

There are only these relevant differences:

• r.distance (Huidae)
• r.proj bugfixes (Markus Metz)

• new r3 modules by Anna (perhaps yet experimental)
