Alas, it happens sporadically whilst tiling a big map. Producing a simple test case for this is next to impossible. I am seeing apache crash out as well in a similiar fashion without this mg server error as well

Are you still seeing this with 2.1? If so, please update the ticket version, otherwise close as fixed.

Milestone: | → 2.2 |
---|---|
Summary: | Apache crash with Error: Failed to retrieve message for "MgFileIoException". → Apache crash with Error: Parent: child process exited with status 3 -- Aborting. |
Version: | 2.0.2 → 2.1.0 |
Apache (2.2.4) is also crashing quite regularly (~1 time per day) here with following entry in apache-error.log:
The name of the current function is (null)<br> [Wed May 26 14:42:13 2010] [crit] Parent: child process exited with status 3 -- Aborting.
But there is no corresponding entry in mgserver-Error.log Changeset [3538] already applied...

My operating system is window 2003 server. The mapguide version is 2.0.2.

2.0.2 is extremely old and no longer supported, please try the latest release 2.4
please always post to the mailing list before filing bugs
prior to the lck errors there where numerous of these unclassified errors which happens a lot as it seems the rendering process doesn't throw more specific errors from what I have seen?
