Description
as an outcome of these discussions:
OSGeo4W missing in new website
OSGeo4W project page on the new website
neither it's not clear/obvious nor it seems to be publicly documented how edit rights for the new website are handled.
An open and public description about this procedure should be self-evident for an open source community like OSGeo.

on the technical side we are currently trying to figure out how wordpress roles work so we can consistently grant writes to our community.
We are handing out administrator writes to committee leadership so they can grant their members edit rights.
The listing of projects on the website is the responsibility of the incubation committee which was tasked with establishing guidelines coming out of august 2017 discussion. The goal is to hand out edit permission to each project team, once we have established that they are geospatial, open source and open to contributions. We have a few concerns about data access software that requires an API key or similar that will require careful wording.
For service providers we do not yet have an answer, and may request marketing committee take on this responsibility.
