Description
It would be nice to have interactive python (http://ipython.scipy.org/) available as an optional package. I like using it to develop scripts, when I'm not too sure ahead of time how the method I'm thinking of might or might not work.

I'll close this as "best handled elsewhere", e.g. http://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo4w/wiki/ExternalPythonPackages. There's been no interest outside myself for a packaged version, and I think there's enough work already keeping the existing packages up to date.

I looked around on the interactive python page, but I wasn't able to determine what binaries were appropriate for Python 2.5 on win32.
Matthew, perhaps if interactive python works with the stock python binaries you could try packaging it as an addon package yourself?
