Hi,
/usr/local/lib/R/site-library/spgrass6/doc/spgrass6_0.3.pdfneither
okular
orgv
also on the disc views it well either, although I suspect they all use the same ghostscript library.(okular is really quite a nice program)
moreover, my local copy of it is also corrupted, so this problem is nothing to do with the live dvd.
adding Roger to the cc for further advice..

Sorry, the PDF files seem to have been trashed at some stage. I've uploaded the original copies from the OSGeo Journal etc. again to SVN on R-Forge.R-project.org, project rspatial, module spgrass6. https://r-forge.r-project.org/src/contrib/spgrass6_0.7-4.tar.gz will contain the correct versions from early on August 23 (CEST). I will not be releasing this version to CRAN until I get some confirmation that major changes made there (and committed to SVN) do not wreck anyone's scripts. If the correct PDFs are needed for the LiveDVD now, please pull them from the SVN repository on R-Forge, and check that they are OK.

The connection has timed out The server at r-forge.r-project.org is taking too long to respond.
so not a good candidate to add to our auto-build script. if we are able to grab it I guess we could stash it on download.osgeo.org and fetch it from there, but I'd only go to the trouble if there is demand for that. (speak up now if there is)
perhaps the trouble was cvs->svn without the binary file type flag? (so \r\n in the image binary data got auto-munged to \n)

Probably CVS->SVN. I've put the offending files on http://spatial.nhh.no/misc/doc.zip for now. When spgrass6_0.7-4 and subsequent is released, things will revert to normal. In the mean time, please replace the faulty files with the correct ones if necessary - it would be unfortunate to publish an image with broken files, right?
