Description
We use a GIS software called Encompass published by Geodesy http://www.geodesy.net and SQL Server as a relational database but I am considering migrating to PostGIS. My question is can I store the Encompass geometry (documentation attached) in PostGIS?

You can store any blob you like in PgSQL, it isn't a PostGIS question/issue.
If you want to use that software with PgSQL, talk to the vendor, it's not a question we can answer/do anything about.

I assumed he was asking is there a clean way to convert geodesy geometry format to PostGIS geometry format rather than sticking with the blob. But I think your interpretation might be more right - how can I use Geodesy with PostgreSQL (rather than SQL Server). Anyway either way the question doesn't belong in our bug/enhancement tracker :)
This question is probably best asked on our mailing list - might be more of a dev question though but most POstGIS devs are subscribed to both users and dev.

wouldn't hurt to post to users since some people may have some experience with this and its a larger list.
