Description
Experiences like the one written in https://gitlab.com/nibioopensource/resolve-overlap-and-gap/-/issues/67 show a value in documenting how using shorter-lived transaction can greatly improve performance by reducing the size of indices.
Documenting in the PostGIS manual would be useful. We do have a section about managing statistics, but that section does not mention managing vacuums, see:
