Description of how new distance calculation works
Those documents do an attempt to describe the ideas behind the new distance calculations.
- How the subgeometries is handled (will have to wait til probably 2.0)
- How the distance calculations is done in PostGIS 1.5
- A description of the 3D distance calculations in PostGIS 2.0
